Mission

Armitage Academy provides a global, academically challenging education. We develop intellect, nurture character, and encourage creativity. The Armitage community supports students in a quest for personal excellence, and empowers them to lead their lives as valued contributors to their world.

Our Philosophy

While rooted in a tradition of academic excellence, Armitage also focuses on preparing its students to meet the challenges of a socially and technologically changing world in an increasingly global environment.  We provide an exciting method of instruction based on the premise that each child is an individual whose potential is without limit and whose talents are unique, resulting in an excellent educational foundation.

The school’s determination to keep the teacher-student ratio relatively small is reflected in the design of the facility.  It allows each child to have the kind of individual attention and nurturing that is essential in building self-esteem and leadership skills.

Using a blend of educational media and methods, the faculty, knowing the joy and benefit of interconnections within a curriculum, stimulates and inspires Armitage students to explore intellectually and live harmoniously with others, themselves, and the physical world.

We expect to graduate young people who have developed above- average academic skills and who have, as a result of their Armitage experience, enhanced significantly their potential to become life-long learners and contributing, meaningful members of society.
