Dance

The dance curriculum really begins as a creative movement which develops with the students into a dance program. The classes are focused on doing, moving, responding and experiencing. The younger the children are, the more appropriate it is for the emphasis to be on the exploration of the many ways in which we can move. As the students develop, their skills increase naturally and with practice. Classes are structured so that the children can work at their own levels.

Sports and Fitness

Armitage Academy takes advantage of many of the wonderful resources available in downtown Kenosha to provide our students with fun and rigorous physical exercise.

All students in Kindergarten through 8th grade receive two 50-minute periods of PE activity per week throughout the school year.  Kindergarten through 5th graders have a rotation of activities as follows:  6 weeks of swimming, 6 weeks of gym activities, 6 weeks of creative movement. 6-8th grades take a rotation of life sports such as tennis, bowling, and team sports.
